Magnetic Knife Blocks

In an effort to "use every part of the buffalo", I tend to keep offcuts around in hopes I will think of something to do with them, and occasionally I actually do.  With a box of ceramic magnets that I had lying around, I made some spalted maple into magnetic knife blocks by cutting a pocket in the back and epoxying the magnets into place. Please understand that knives with high carbon content, ceramic blades, or other non ferrous materials will not stick to magnetic blocks. They can be mounted with screws or heavy duty double sided foam tape. They are available for purchase at my Etsy® store at the button below.
